Liverpool Arts Bar

 

SITUATED on Hope Street, The Liverpool Arts Bar is a creative hub and gig venue located in the Grade 2 listed Masonic Hall which launched in 2019. The team and venue have successfully adapted during the Pandemic, already having embarked on 2 seasons of online content from a variety of brilliant artists and guests. This has proved incredibly popular, with a range of amazing content online. And now to coincide the launch of their new website, Liverpool Arts Bar are announcing a week full of brand new online events that proved very popular in lockdown 1.0. There is something for everyone from pub quizzes to Valentine's dance classes with some very special guests along the way. Full listings are below running from the 7 February to 14 February 2021. Liverpool Arts Bar Launch week:-

 Monday, 8 Febuary, 2021, from 8pm; Pub Quiz - Facebook Live (picture round on Instagram)  -  It's back! Everyone misses the pubso let the LAB do the work. Join in for the chance to win some amazing (ish) prizes and find out more about Lionel Ritchie and the Happy Poop song. Every round goes live on Facebook from each of the 4 quiz masters houses and the guys put the picture round on our Instagram stories so be sure to give us a like and a follow on both Facebook and Instagram.

 Tuesday, 9 February 2021, from 6pm; Man On Pod - Facebook Live and YouTube  -  The guys from the 'Man On' podcast will be treating us to an exclusive fully live episode. From tackles on the pitch to tackling your mental health, these guys keep everyone entertained! Expect some silliness and some wonderful impressions. This podcast is for everyone to join in, you don't have to be a fan of football.

 Wednesday, 10 February 2021, from 6pm; Arts Bar Live - Facebook Live and YouTube  -  Liverpool is legendary for music and 2020 was no different. Here are 15 of the best, undiscovered local artist, straight to into everyone's living rooms. Filmed in the bar by the very talented James Amos, check out the new exciting work from the best new artists. We will be streaming the whole of season 1 and 2 in its entirety!

 Thursday, 11 February 2021, from 6pm; Ready Steady Remake - Facebook Live and YouTube  -  Special guests Rach and Rich give us an exclusive live stream of their podcast. Movie buffs where they love it, hate it and then they remake it! Tune in for some film knowledge and a good laugh.

 Friday, 12 February 2021, from 6pm; Turntable DJ takeover - Facebook Live  -  The team at Liverpool Arts Bar have had some crazy nights in the bar and these guys have been the source of many of them. The infamous daytime raves on a Sunday are itching to come back, but for now, let Turntable present you with their favourite, local DJs and dance like nobody's watching.

 Saturday, 13 February 2021, from 1pm; Dance Little Lovers - Facebook Live  -  Love or hate Valentine's, it comes around every year. Here to embrace cupid's arrow is our very own Ballroom Ben. His popular dance classes back in 2020 are back for a 1 off valentines special, So, madly in love or despise PDA's; 2 left feet or toe tapping professional, there's something for everyone to get moving and grooving.

 Sunday, 14 February 2021, from 11am; Coffee Morning - Facebook Live  -  Rounding off the week the lads are back to discuss the goings on and talk everyone through our big plans for the future!

The Liverpool Arts Bar is a dream of which came true last year; a venue that prides itself on diversity and inclusivity, where artists can visit to showcase and share ideas. Dobbies stores in Liverpool and Southport partner with Too Good To Go in a bid to tackle food waste

THE UK's leading garden centre retailer, Dobbies, has partnered with surplus food app, Too Good To Go, in a bid to combat food waste in its Liverpool and Southport stores.  Leading the food waste revolution, Too Good To Go lets people buy surplus food and drink from restaurants, grocery stores, pubs and producers to stop it from going to waste. Consumers simply download the free Too Good To Go app and search for nearby businesses with unsold produce. They then purchase a:- 'Magic Bag' and collect it at an allotted time. Customers in Liverpool and Southport are able purchase a Magic Bag in the Dobbies foodhall, filled with fresh and delicious surplus food that would ordinarily go to waste. With an RRP of ₤12 to 14, the Magic Bags are available to buy for ₤3.99.

Archie Stewart, Head of Food at Dobbies, said:- "Our partnership with Too Good To Go is an innovative solution for customers and Dobbies to work together on a shared goal of reducing food waste. The Too Good To Go Magic Bags can be collected with ease from our Liverpool and Southport stores."

Paschalis Loucaides, UK Country Manager at Too Good To Go, said:- "We're thrilled to have partnered with Dobbies and help reduce food waste. We've already seen brilliant traction for the Magic Bags on our app and know together we can make a huge difference in making sure food is eaten and enjoyed instead of wasted."

Coming soon, co-founder of Too Good To Go, Jamie Crummie, will feature as a guest on the latest episode of the Dobbies podcast. Joining host Louise Midgely, Jamie will talk more about the partnership, the inspiration behind the anti food waste enterprise and share his top tips on reducing food waste at home.
