2 huge Southport festivals given the green light...

2 huge festivals have been given the go ahead following the Government's announcement that restrictions will be fully lifted on 19 July 2021. The biggest events of their kind to come to Southport, Save The Rave (90s dance) is happening, at Victoria Park, on Saturday, 31 July 2021 and Lookalike Tribute Festival (tributes) will be hosted there, on Sunday, 1 August 2021.

With the announcement that outdoor festivals and events are definitely back on, these 2 ground breaking events in the seaside Town have added even more big names to their line ups, as Southport's picturesque park plays host to 2 fantastic festivals following lockdown.

Save The Rave comes to Southport, on Saturday, 31 July 2021, bringing some legendary 90s rave acts including:- Livin' Joy, Angie Brown, N Trance, Baby D, 2Funky2, Ultrabeat, Shades Of Rhythm, Porn Kings, Brandon Block, Sweet Female Attitude, Lee Butler and John Pleased Wimmin.

The biggest outdoor 90s rave event to be held in Southport runs from 12pm until 10pm and features top live acts, performers, pop up gin and prosecco bars, street food stalls, giveaways and more. Early bird tickets are already sold out, but standard tickets just ₤30 plus booking fee and VIP tickets (private bar, private toilets, private seating and queue jump) are just ₤70 plus booking fee.

Lookalike Tribute Festival comes to Southport, on Sunday, 1 August 2021, with some of the best tribute acts in the world for some of the biggest names in music history. The epic event will showcase music from:- The Beatles, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, ABBA, Oasis, Elton John and Kylie Minogue.

The biggest tribute festival in the UK, also runs from 12pm until 10pm, and also features top live acts, performers, pop up gin and prosecco bars, street food stalls, giveaways and more. Early bird tickets are already sold out, but standard tickets just ₤25 plus booking fee and VIP tickets (private bar, private toilets, private seating and queue jump) are just ₤50 plus booking fee.

Event organiser, James Daly of Jaly Concerts, said:- "We had planned to have these events in June but had to move them to July. It's been a really tough time re-scheduling and with all the uncertainty but we're made up to be finally hosting these huge events. Victoria Park in Southport is an ideal location and we're really proud to be bringing the biggest open air 90s event to Southport and the largest tribute festival in the UK too. Our aim is to put on quality events that are great value too. We've been putting on events all around the world for years now but these two are particularly special given that we're coming out of lockdown. Although some events organisers are cashing in on the gold rush, we're keeping the ticket prices very reasonable for these two huge events. We just can't wait to see people happy and dancing again."

Deva Fest to return in 2022 with hundreds Of FREE tickets for NHS staff

THE hugely popular Deva Fest will return to Chester Lakes next summer with all the headliners who were due to appear this year now secured to perform in 2022. The 3 day festival will take place, from 12 August to 14 August 2022, after the difficult decision was made to postpone the hotly anticipated event for a second year due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus Pandemic. Pop princess Sophie Ellis Bextor, Scouting for Girls, Dodgy, Heather Small, Symphonic Ibiza and Sonique have confirmed they will play the new 2022 dates. And hundreds of tickets for next year's festival are also being given away in a special ballot exclusively for NHS staff and key workers. Organisers have pledged a fantastic 150 pairs of free tickets, 50 pairs for each day of the festival, with a total value of ₤10,500, as a way of saying thank you for the hard work and dedication of key workers throughout the last 18 months.

Deva Fest Managing Partner Phil Marston said:- "We were bitterly disappointed to have to make the decision to postpone Deva Fest for a second year, particularly after the buzz that had built up surrounding this summer's event after 2020 fell victim to the Pandemic. But our number one priority is people's safety, and with the numbers of increasingly transmissible Delta variant cases on the rise here in Chester and Cheshire West, on top of last month's announcement that the Covid roadmap had been delayed until July 19, we felt it was the sensible decision. We're really excited that all our headline acts have committed to performing at next summer's event; I can promise it's going to be worth the wait. In the meantime, we want to say thank you once again for all the hard work and dedication of NHS staff and key workers here in Cheshire. Our special ballot for the 2021 festival was really well received, and it was important for us to be able to show our appreciation by repeating it in 2022 with more than ₤10,000 in new free tickets for these amazing people who have worked tirelessly to keep us all safe."

Tickets previously allocated through the 2020 special ballot are also valid for the same days next year. Meanwhile additional tickets for 2022 go on general sale on 13 August 2021, the date this year's Deva Fest should have opened. Anyone who is eligible to enter the new free ballot for NHS staff and key workers, in the care sector, education, retail, transport, or emergency services, should apply by Thursday, 5 August 2021 by visiting:- DevaFest.Co.UK and clicking on the 'Thank You' rainbow. Officially launched in 2019, Cheshire's Family Friendly Music, Food and Lifestyle Extravaganza,
