Jazz and Classics fans delighted by Skies 1st live acts

ON 7 August 2021, 22 year old Liverpool, Mezzo-Soprano, Sophie Clarke, delivered a fantastic night of music to a packed out Skies Lounge, on Lord Street, Southport. Sophie is a highly talented singer who has been awarded a scholarship to study for a Masters of Music, in Classical Singing and Opera, at The Royal Northern College of Music. The Liverpool born Mezzo-Soprano career has only just begun with some highlights in recent years including performing as:- The Mezzo-Soprano Soloist in the latest performance of Bernstein's Mass, at Royal Festival Hall, in the Southbank Centre, also performing for BBC 1's new TV program 'All Together Now.' With such an interesting background, those attending knew they would have a fantastic time, and that is just what happened. Sophie sang a wide range of classical and 1940's numbers to a very receptive audience, of all ages. As she entertained the audience, many of them sampled the venue's food, then washing it down with cocktails. What was most surprising was the age range attending with young and old mixing and enjoying the relaxing music. Southport has missed this type of event at a bar for quite some time, and it shows that you don't always need chart music to fill a venue. To find out more about Sophie, please visit:- SophieClarkeSinger.Co.UK. But the appearance of Sophie was just the start, as the following day, a local Schoolgirl, Astrid Smith also performed at the venue, located next to Costa Coffee. Astrid, who is from Southport, was The Voice Kids 2018, and now just 12 years old, this rising singer-songwriter also gave a fantastic performance, entertaining the venue's clients. For more information about Astrid, please go to:- AstridSingsJazz.Com. We are told that both acts will be performing again at the venue, plus we know they have some other amazing local acts to follow. Please keep an eye on here and on the venue's website:- Skies-Lounge.Co.UK for more information.
