Letter to the Editor:- "Please support the WNE Movement"

"THE Impact of the Covid Pandemic has been far reaching and devastating for the festival and events industry. It's been amazing to hear, see and support the noise coming from within the industry. We want to add the ticket holders voices loud and proud because, we all miss events. We'd love to see an explosion of noise from the 30 January 2021, to unite all voices from both sides of the fence. We are running an easy and fun hashtag challenge, which both ticket holders and industry workers can do to show we miss and need events. We will initiate ways to pressure Government on key issues that the industry requires to get back to business safely. We will be creating (with your help) a call to arms to show that this powerful industry needs support. We don't want it to limp through the next year, losing some much loved events and people on the way. We want our Government to give the right support to help it to come back BIGGER, stronger and more vibrant than ever. Everyone can get involved!

HOW?  Do the:- 'Hashtag Challenge #WeNeedEvents!"

Doing your food shop. Walking the dog. Stuck at home. Going about your ordinary day, but in your favourite 'out out' outfit, your festival threads, your show costume! It's fun and easy to do. Take a picture and/or video and post it across social media, using the Hashtag:- '#WeNeedEvents' within your post.

Got that picture of you having a blast or working at your favourite festival or event? Lets see it! Post it using the Hashtag:- '#WeNeedEvents'

Feel free to add in other hashtags and lets unite our voices!

We'll be sparking the flame on 30 January 2021. Our hub will be sharing tons of online events showcasing different parts
of our colourful and wonderful world leading industry.

It's time to unite and to come together. From the largest UK festivals to your local village fete.

We MISS events, we NEED events.

Want to host a live event for the launch?

Email:- WeNeedEvents@Gmail.com

This is just the start of our call to arms and we are so excited by the response so far and how many have signed up to host live events. We will be adding more fuel for the fire as we go, so if you have an idea or want to join the main team please email:- SeasideRetroGmail.com

Please note, this is NOT anti-lockdown! It is about getting help for all the events industry that is still being overlooked!"
Alice.
