Liverpool International Music Festival are looking for emerging Merseyside artists

THE Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) returns in 2018 with its award winning talent development programme, the LIMF Academy. The award winning Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) Academy is dedicated to discovering and developing young, unsigned Merseyside music talent... It has been responsible for kick starting the careers of:- XamVolo, Jalen N’Gonda, Eleanor Nelly and more will offer 6 talented Merseyside artists and bands a chance to join the programme, with 3 set to land a spot, on the lauded Academy's 12 month Elite Talent Scheme. The LIMF Academy's 'Elite Talent Scheme' is the only scheme of its kind in the UK for emerging talent, between the ages of 16 to 25. Academy alumni have gone on to land:- record label and publishing deals, national and international radio play and toured with worldwide stars. 6 successful applicants will get access to performance opportunities including LIMF 2018, professional career advice, training, workshops and a bursary. A 12 month talent development opportunity will be awarded to the 3 'most ready' artists or bands which includes:- career investment, mentoring, regional and national performance opportunities, professionally produced artist assets, plus the chance to perform at LIMF 2018, alongside some of the best emerging talent from the region. Views wanted on Hospital Remembrance Garden

A Hospital is asking bereaved parents for ideas about how to design and build a Remembrance Garden, at Ormskirk Hospital. Anyone with an interest in this is invited to a planning conversation and consultation, at Ormskirk Hospital, on Tuesday, 15 May 2018, meeting at the main reception. Refreshments will be provided between 6pm and 6.30pm. The bereavement focus group at Ormskirk Hospital is a multi disciplinary group involving:- bereaved parents, Midwives, specialist Nurses, the Bereavement Service, Doctors and Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care.

Trust chaplain, the Rev Martin Abrams, said:- "The ideas and thoughts of bereaved parents are being particularly encouraged. As part of the development of some gardens into quiet spaces with remembrance areas, we are asking for help with designing a baby and child remembrance garden at Ormskirk Hospital. We plan for work on the garden to soon begin with its completion anticipated during the summer period."

The garden development is part of the new patient charter which includes further enhancing the patient experience.
