DC Comics and Marvel fans take note!

WOODVALE Rally this year has Tim Quinn, is attending. If you do not already know, Tim has worked as a writer, artist, and Editor for both DC and IPC before, moving to Marvel... As a result the Rally as asking, do you like Cosplay? They have 6 family tickets to give away to 6 Cosplayers, who can attended the show for free, if you are in costume... You only have until 11pm, on 10 June 2018 to respond via posting up on Facebook a picture of yourself in the Costume, that you intend to have on at the event. The costume must be family friendly and you must be over 18 to enter. For more information about Tim go to his website. This years show is the biggest since it moved to Victoria Park and his far more attractions on offer. For tickets and information about what's taking place, please go to WoodvaleRally.com today... The Lord Street garden volunteers clean up popular Promenade display

THE junction of of the Promenade and Seabank Road has had a clean up thanks to Pauline Morris and he band of Lord Street garden volunteers. The group headed to the section to put in bedding plans and flowers after hearing how bad the area looked over the last 2 bank holidays. Local businesses donated the plants to the group, who tided up the boat display, making the area more presentable to tourists visiting the Town.


Southport's DKG Model Shop is marking 100 years of the RAF

DKG Hobbies / Hobby Scene, on Princes Street, Southport (PR8 1EZ) is helping to mark 100 years of the Royal air Force with a window display that includes the original RAF Woodvale's flag, along with models and other items connected to the RAF. The shop is Southport's only dedicated specialist shop for model enthusiasts and is known for its interesting window displays. This display is also aimed at the up and coming Armed Forces Day and inside the family run shop, it has a collection of World War 1 related items on display as well.
