Photo and video by Patrick Trollope.

A colourful celebration of nature and co-existence, Cirque du Soleil's 'OVO' will bring its fun filled production for the whole family to arenas across the country and what a show it is... The team's UK 2018 Tour started performing in the Liverpool ACC on 16 August 2018 and will be running until Sunday, 19 August 2018. 'OVO' is a bug themed story, which invokes the imagination of the audience via amazing lighting, props, costumes and gravity defying gymnastics, tumbling, trampolining and more... If you have not seen a show by this group, you really must go!

Cirque du Soleil kindly gave us special access to see the cast of 50 performing artists, from 17 countries, including the Alanna Baker, who is from the UK and is the Gymnastics 2011 European Champion and 2012 World Championship Bronze Medal holder, as they prepared for the opening night, at the Liverpool ACC. We will be bringing you all the video interviews, photos and a review of the star studded premiere within next week's issue, but for now, this is our interview with Cirque du Soleil's Artistic Director, Tim Bennett.
