100 Years Of Remembrance Exhibition
Photography by Patrick Trollope.

THE Ainsdale Methodist Church opened doors on a Remembrance Exhibition, on Saturday, 10 November 2018. The event is part of Ainsdale Village's act of Remembrance for those who died in World War 1. Over Saturday, and Sunday, 11 November 2018, businesses and property around the Village Centre along with Village War Memorial, located on the Green, had Poppies on trees and lamp posts along with flags in windows, provided by Ainsdale Civic Society.. It is worth noting that the Ainsdale Horticultural Society was formed in 1911 started the Memorial Garden, as promised, to honour those that fought and lost their lives for us, a promise continue  honour. Inside the Church the exhibition included work made by local schools, Battle Of The Somme, Singapore Diaries, SAAFA and RAFA Displays, also the Royal British Legion. Both on Saturday and the Sunday, Remembrance Services where held. This is our coverage of the event, as it opened on the Saturday by the Deputy Lieutenant for Merseyside.

Correction made to report due that credit made to the Horticultural Society and not Civic Society supplying the flags.
