Southport's Charity Christmas Car, Van and Truck Festive Parade and Toy Delivery 2018
Photographs and video by:- VAMPHire.com.

ON 2 December 2018, the 3rd Springbrook Children's Home Christmas Car Van and Truck Festive Parade and Toy Delivery took place in the Ainsdale and Southport area. The children's unit offers short residential breaks to disabled young people usually between the ages of 8 to 17 years, who have been identified as needing this type of service by a Social Worker. It is hoped that the event will raise awareness of this centre and brighten the lives of children within its care, but also bring some Christmas cheer to those who watch it.

This year’s convoy was made up from cars, vans, and trucks from all over Merseyside and the North West of England, as well as many who came from North Wales. Nearly all nearly the vehicles taking part were decorated with festive lights and decorations. Plus a few even had performers hem from the local Pantomimes taking part on them.

The convoy snaked off from Pontins in Ainsdale, before delivering the gifts to Springbrook Children's Home. They then headed off into Southport.

Sadly, a change of route last minute due to issues with Sefton, plus the heavy rain and the cold meant the crowds were not as big as normal watching them...

The photos we took along with the footage shows them at a variety of located from Pontins Ainsdale, along the route into Southport at the end of the parade.

Well done to both Darren Claire Parker and Nick Mannion who put the event on and to all those who took part. We hope that this, being 1 of the biggest Christmas Convoys in the UK will be able to get the publicity it deserves in 2019. We look forward to seeing this happen again next year...
