Formby Pinewoods Christmas Market Beer Festival!

THE Pinewoods Pub's General Manager, Paul Hopkins, pulling out all the stops to create something for the Formby community to thoroughly enjoy and the well know and loved venue located on Wicks Green, Formby, hosted a Christmas Market and Beer Festival, on Sunday, 24 November 2019. The event helped to raise funds for the mental health awareness charity, Mind. It offered a pop up bar, serving 8 local cask ales, mulled wine and other goodies, and a gin bar. Plus 25 stalls selling crafts and Christmas gifts. 

Paul had also teamed up with local brewery, Liverpool Brewing Company, who had on offer its selection of brews, including:- Liverpool IPA, 24 Carat Gold and Cascade, and organised local favourite:- 'Greatie Market.'

Paul said:- "This I something I've been wanting to do for a really long time. I have put a lot of effort into making it something special and I hope we can turn our Christmas Market into an annual event here at the Formby."

With stiff competition from the Formby Light Switch-On, this proved to be an extremely popular event.
