Southport on New Years
Eve was not on the grand scale of most years due to the cold
night, but the pubs and clubs where still lively and full of New
Year Revelers. Though who braved the icy roads and the cold
air, went out to one of the best nights Southport has had over
2001. The most interesting time was at Southport's new night
club "Code", which was packed out and had an enormous
queue. Thoughts who where lucky enough to get in celebrated in
style the birth of 2002. On the other end of town rockers
rocked in the new year at the Carlton and in Milligan's at the top
end of Southport a band played in the new year to a packed out pub.
We also took a look at Southport's more traditional New Year Pub
night in the very friendly and welcoming Fisherman's Rest.
