The Southport Comedy Festival 2022 now has announced 2 more fantastic names taking part!

THE 2022 Festival will take place once again in a heated and seated luxury marquee courtesy of Elite Marquees, in Victoria Park, Southport, from 30 September to 16 October, 2022. Liverpool stand up comedians Chris McCausland and Sam Avery aka Learner Parent will each be performing their shows, which are touring nationally, at Southport Comedy Festival in the autumn. Chris McCausland's critically acclaimed show Speaky Blinder refers to the fact that he is blind. His tour has been extended due to exceptional demand, with many dates already sold out. The show is about life, family, and loads of other nonsense as well!

Chris McCausland's ,will be performing Southport Comedy Festival, on Wednesday:- 5, October 2022. Chris has been performing stand up since 2003 and has now become a regular face on British television with multiple appearances on: Have I Got News for You; Would I Lie to You?; Live at the Apollo; QI; 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown; with lots more TV appearances in the pipeline for later this year. Chris is also a regular voice on Radio 4 flagship shows such as:- The News Quiz and The Now Show Chris has performed all over the world, including across Asia and the Middle East. He has spent almost 2 decades travelling the country performing stand up, and has long been firmly established at the very top of the UK's live comedy circuit.

Sam Avery, will be performing on:- Wednesday 12 October 2022. Sam has also been performing stand up comedy since 2003, is the author of the bestseller:- 'Confessions of a Learner Parent.' His blog about life as a twin dad has been featured in the national press and has gone viral around the globe, being translated into over 15 different languages. His latest show Role Model is his 3rd in a series about life as a dad following on from hit shows:- Learner Parent and Toddlergeddon. Sam's twin boys, who have now started School, are looking to him for guidance; it's high time he evolved into the role model he always thought he'd be. But he didn't sleep well last night and being a hero is harder than it looks. Plus, he forgot to put the bins out and now his wife hates him. In this side splitting new stand up show, Sam explores what it means to be a role model in modern Britain, how the people he looked up to shaped his world, and how the struggle to help his kids find their moral compass often causes him to misplace his own. Can you be a role model on 4 hours of sleep? Can you mentor someone who thinks you're a moron? And how do you change the world if you can't even clean your kitchen?

Chris and Sam join an already stellar line up at this year's festival with TV stars Maisie Adam, on Tuesday, 11 October, 2022, and Milton Jones, on Saturday, 8 October, 2022, already on sale and lots more names to be announced over the next few months.

The New Year brings new positivity to Wayfarers

A new year with a change of managing agents for Wayfarers Arcade, in Southport . Commercial Property Partners has been appointed by the Landlord, Panther Securities PLC to manage the running of the iconic arcade, taking over from CBRE. This is a positive development for Wayfarers which has been at the Centre of Southport shopping for 123 years. CP Partners are committed to bringing an all-round fresh and positive approach as to how the Centre is managed.

Associate Director of CP Partners, Callum Jeandin said:- "We are delighted to have been appointed as the new managing agents for Wayfarers Arcade. We will be working hard to ensure the arcade's iconic status is maintained and improved over the next 12 to 18 months. We are also pleased that Yvonne Burns who has been with Wayfarers for over 20 years is to remain the Centre Manager. With the new all inclusive rent deals and improved incentives on offer, paired with the overall capital investment planned by the landlord over the coming years, we predict vastly improved footfall into the arcade over the coming years."
