What a show! 'Let Loose in Liverpool' at Liverpool's Art's Bar - Preformed by LJMU' Students 2022

ON 10 May 2022 we had the privilege of being invited to see students in their final year of Masters in Musical Theatre, at Liverpool John Moores University, perform at the Art's Bar in Liverpool. The venue is located within the historic, Grade II listed, Liverpool Masonic Hall, on Hope Street, across the road from the Everyman Theatre.

This musical night was full of exceptionally good performances. Despite a few technical glitches, due to equipment problems, the proceedings ran extremely smoothly. Even the 2 very minor glitches where incorporated into the show, and made for a good giggle, helping to show off the students fantastic acting abilities.

The line up was full of musical numbers as well as some comedy acts. The venue was packed out and had a very lively, friendly, atmosphere. We discovered that many of those attending had no connections those performing., having just seen the event advertised and came a long to watch. Most of those we spoke to said they fully enjoyed the show, we some going father, adding that the night was an exceptionally good experience.

We did not shoot stills at the show, but also shot some video. Sadly we couldn't shoot all the performances, but this video is designed to give you a taste of what was a fantastic show it truly was.

The event was hosted by Ivan Orson Kelly and Thomas Florence. Creative Director was Daniela Mel, and Assistant Creative Director, ZoŽ Olivia Andronikou. Musical Directors, Dr Nicholas Phillips and Sally Rapier.

On the night performances where given by:- Amy Walsh, Amy Tennant, Blase Edwards, Danieila Mel, Ella Willams Brown, James Kistle, Megan King, Natalie Deakin, Reuben Rigby-Jones, Sophia Adams, and ZoŽ Andronikou.

Well done to all who took part. This was a fully enjoyable show and we look forward to seeing you all on TV's and Theatres, very soon.
