The 20th Edition of the world famous BTR Liverpool Santa Dash 5K and 1K Mini Dash 2023 - Part 1 of 2

2023 marked the 20th staging of the BTR Liverpool Santa Dash 2023, that is now probably the most festive fun run in the World! As you can see the weather was not going to put off the 6,000+ runners, and that was just the 5k... With most of the UK in snow and ice, Liverpool's world famous festive fun run had to make do with fake snow on the finish line, but it still made for some fantastic photos! Nearly all the runners were dressed in red or blue Santa Suits, with some also taking part in other forms of costumes. Not all the costumes though finished intact, but that is part of the fun of this event!

This video shows clips shot by our Editor of both the main BTR Liverpool Santa Dash 5K and 1K Mini Dash 2023. The 1k being for children aged 5 and under...

This year the event charity was Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust's Charity, and the official media partners were Radio City..

If you are unaware, this race has been in the Guinness World Records, along with Las Vegas and Nevada in the US, and even a few in Australia, regularly attempt to break the records.. This means, Liverpool, in the UK, has again set another worldwide trend in motion!.

After the event many commented on the fact meant fount it hard to get in this year as on the Merseyrail's Southport Line, they had planned engineering work taking place, but the bus company Arriva North West, who were again supporting the Liverpool Santa Dash for the 5th time offered all participants free travel on the Arriva bus network to get to and from the event! This brought in high praise for Arriva  and we felt it had to be commented on.

This is just some of the many photos we have taken at this fantastic annual event, and we will have even more within our next weekly edition.  We have more photo on the following 2 pages within this edition as well!  Did you take part in this years Santa Dash? If you did, please do let us know what you thought of it by emailing our Newsroom at:- News24@SouthportReporter.Com or send us a message on:- Mastodon, Facebook, or Twitter.
