The 103rd Ainsdale Show

THE 103ed Ainsdale Flower Show was held on  both:- Saturday, 5 July and Sunday, 6 July 2025, along with a put show on the Friday Night This year the Ainsdale Horticultural Society focused all attention on the Village Green, with attractions including the arena events from live music to dog displays plus pet show, a large fairground, craft fair, trade and charity stalls plus a bar and catering units. Sadly, as with most UK events, the weather spoilt Sunday Morning's Car Boot Sale and the weather for cast for both days, given by the Met Office was completely wrong, putting some of the traders off attending. But what took place was very well received and this year the Floral Art, Children’s exhibits and Photography as well as the usual display of plants, fruit and vegetables, had 1 of the events best participations in years.  But, this might be the last time the event is held, after 103 years, as the organisers are getting, in their own words:- "to old" to run the event, and they desperately require new blood to help them.  Also, Miss Liverpool City Region, Charlotte Grant returned to the show as Miss England, following her trip to Miss World in India earlier this year, along with MP Bill Esterson, to open the show.
