Halloweenville 2025 Is Now Open For Spooktacular Fun

THE North West England’s biggest and best Halloween event is now open with thousands of visitors set to enjoy the spooky seasonal treat over the next 4 weeks.

Halloweenville runs from:- 3 October until 2 November 2025 at Partridge Lakes near Warrington. Some timed sessions are already sold out.

The wickedly fun family attraction was due to open its doors on Friday but with Storm Amy bringing strong winds and heavy rain to the Region it was decided to postpone its official launch for 48 hours and extra dates were added to cope with the demand.

Formerly known as the Halloween Lakeside Trail and now reimagined for 2025, Halloweenville has transformed the picturesque 70-acre site nestled in the idyllic Cheshire countryside into an enchanted land where you can fully immerse yourself in all things weird, wonderful and witchy.

This year’s theme takes visitors ‘under water’ to the haunting depths of the Gold Lake where ghostly sea creatures, sunken secrets and the skeleton pirates spring thrillingly to life.

The amazing attraction is delightfully spooky rather than jump-out-of-your-skin scary and promises visitors of all ages a truly memorable Halloween adventure as they follow the quest – collecting glimmering treasures along the way before earning a place at the memorably magic Skeleton Crew Pirate Party.

As part of Halloweenville there is also live music in the Trick or Treat Tavern, creating the perfect atmosphere for an enchanting evening.

Toast marshmallows or enjoy a delicious hot chocolate, spiced pumpkin latte or creepy cocktail and savour tasty treats from a range of food vendors, while the Patridge Café will serve classic hotdogs, burgers and fries.

The event is fun for all ages and is suitable for wheelchairs and prams, with the route a mixture of stone or gravel and woodchip. There is one steeper uphill slope which may require assistance.

Halloweenville owners Barbara Ikin and Callum Morgan said today:- “We’re absolutely delighted Halloweenville 2025 is finally open. After Storm Amy delayed us for a couple of days it was such a relief to finally welcome everyone through the gates. We were very lucky that the storm damage was minimal, and looking back, postponing the opening was definitely the right decision for everyone’s safety. Our amazing team of staff and actors worked so hard to get everything ready again, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they pulled together. This year Halloweenville isn’t just a trail – it’s a full experience. We’ve turned it into a destination with interactive quests that the kids (and adults!) have absolutely loved. It’s been brilliant seeing families get involved and enjoy the atmosphere together. The feedback from our opening night was overwhelmingly positive and hearing how people enjoyed it means the world to us and makes all the hard work worthwhile. We’ve already sold our quite a few nights, and we’ve added 2 extra dates to help those who missed out over the weekend. Tickets are going quickly, so if you fancy some spooky fun, now’s the time to book.”

Liverpool City Region receives £25 million to bolster its world class creative industries

CREATIVE businesses in the Liverpool City Region are in line for major Government support to help them innovate, up-skill and attract private investment.

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is:- 1 of 6 UK Regions, with strengths in creative industries to have been awarded £25 million as part of the Government's Creative Places Growth Fund.

This funding will grow the already booming creative industries of Liverpool City Region; including:- film and TV, music and video games. It is home to over 50 active gaming companies, including:- Sony and PlayStation, and is the UK's most filmed location outside of London with the trailblazing LCR Production Fund and planned Littlewoods Film and TV studios development.

The fund was announced in the Creative Industries Sector Plan in June, as part of Industrial Strategy, where the Government shared their intention to invest £150 million in the creative industries of 6 Regions outside of London; Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, North East, West of England, West Midlands and West Yorkshire.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has today revealed that the fund will be split equally across these Regions to drive growth, innovation and investment. The fund will empower local Mayors to support creative professionals, businesses and young people in their communities with access to finance, mentoring and networking opportunities to help them connect with investors and skills programmes.

Lisa Nandy, Culture Secretary, said:- "Creativity has no postcode; whether it's a musician in Liverpool, a filmmaker in Birkenhead, or a video games developer in St Helens. We know that it is not 1 size fits all. That's why we are committed to growing our creative industries in every corner of the nation as part of our Creative Industries Sector Plan, and hope that this devolved funding will be just what these Regions need to make their creative industries the best that they can be."

This is a new approach to supporting creative industries by devolving funding to high-growth potential Mayoral Strategic Authorities (MSAs). The £25 million allocations will be awarded to the 6 MSAs over 3 years, starting in the 2026 financial year, for them to distribute according to local barriers and opportunities. This is part of a whole range of support announced in the Creative Industries Sector Plan supporting creative growth across the whole of the UK, including:- providing business support for local creative businesses, Regional skills initiatives, innovation capacity building programmes, or by providing sector specific support such as:- TV and film production funds.

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said:- "From music and TV to gaming and film, the Liverpool City Region has creativity running through its veins. Our world-famous culture is recognised right across the globe, and we're already home to some of the most talented people and pioneering businesses in the UK. This funding will help us go even further; creating new jobs, attracting more investment and giving local people the chance to showcase their skills on a global stage. This is a Region where creativity and culture don't just entertain, they power our economy, and this investment will make sure that continues for generations to come."
