Get ready for the World Hat Day Walk in Liverpool

WORLD Hat Day is scheduled to take place on:- Sunday, 10 May 2026, offering an inclusive opportunity for 100s of people from all backgrounds to celebrate heritage and community spirit. This vibrant event invites all families, local communities, and organisations to participate by wearing headwear that represents their unique cultural identity. The proceedings will begin at 12:00 at the iconic Bombed Out Church in Liverpool, from where participants will embark on a walk through the City to St George’s Hall, concluding at:- 3pm. This gathering serves as a visual celebration of diversity and unity within the region.

Attendance for the World Hat Walk is entirely free of charge, though interested individuals are required to register their participation via the official Eventbrite Page to ensure the organisers can manage the expected numbers effectively. This initiative is being led by the organisation:- W.A.G. (We Are Great) which aims to foster a sense of pride and connection through this public display of culture. In addition to general participants, the organisers are actively seeking 10 or more volunteers to assist with the smooth running of the day. Those wishing to offer their time and support can sign up using the dedicated Google Form provided by the committee. The event promises to be a significant highlight in the local calendar, bringing together a wide array of cultural expressions in the heart of Liverpool.


Sam P Jalloh to Bring:- 'Yes I Can' Experience to Southport

SOUTHPORT is preparing to host a powerful live experience as former BBC Sports Personality of the Year Winner, Tennis Player and Coach, Sam P Jalloh brings his acclaimed:- 'Yes I Can' show to:- The Atkinson Theatre, Lord Street, on:- Friday 10 July 2026. A survivor of the Sierra Leone civil war who rose to become an international tennis coach and winner of the 2020 BBC Inspirations Award, Jalloh promises an evening that combines high-energy storytelling with music and dance.

The event is designed to be more than a traditional presentation, opening with the pulse of African drums and featuring a blend of humour and heart felt reflection. Attendees can expect a narrative that spans from Jalloh’s origins in West Africa to his career coaching world class athletes, all aimed at fostering personal resilience and a:- "Yes I Can" mindset. The performance will also incorporate audience participation and live music to create a sense of community and empowerment.

For those seeking a more personal encounter, a limited VIP experience is available for:- £50. This premium package includes access to a private drinks reception starting at:- 17:30, where guests can meet Jalloh in person. VIP ticket holders will also receive a signed copy of his book and priority seating for the main event. Standard admission is priced at:- £15, with the theatre bar opening to all guests at:- 18:00 before the main show commences at:- 19:00. The performance is scheduled to run until:- 21:30 and tickets can be secured through the venue's official website.
