ON Post Office Avenue, in Southport, a new games shop and community space for hobbyists opened earlier this month. The shop has Warhammer, Books, and training cards.

On Friday, 7 August 2026, from:- 7pm to 10pm:- "all readers will be welcome" to attend the locations 1st book party!

We are told that the evening is a special night where readers can have a drink and some cake, while meeting other literature fans.

The shop also offers 10% off all new books in store, plus a 2nd hand book sale. If you have any books you want to share, the party will be the opportunity to book swap!

Wren set to:- 'Open Brand' new Showroom at Kew Retail Park

WREN Kitchens & Bedrooms, the UK's number 1 kitchen retailer, opened a brand new showroom at Kew Retail Park this month, bringing its state of the art kitchen, bedroom, and living space design service to Southport for the 1st time.

Which opened on:- Wednesday, 22 July 2026, making it Wren's 126th UK showroom. The showrrom is 5,000 sq. ft showroom, and its opening has created:- 14 new jobs and giving homeowners across Southport and the surrounding area a new destination to explore the retailer's extensive kitchen, bedroom, and fitted furniture ranges.

The showroom featured:- 19 kitchen and 12 bedroom displays in a range of styles, colours and finishes to suit every home and budget. Customers were also able to explore fitted home office and media wall displays, alongside a wide selection of:- worktops, handles, flooring, sinks, and taps, helping them personalise every detail of their space.

Wren's expert designers were on hand to create free personalised designs and no obligation quotes. Customers could then explore their design in 1 of the showroom's 7 virtual reality planning suites, allowing them to see exactly how their new space would look in 3D before placing an order.

Located at Unit 4B, Kew Retail Park, Southport, the new showroom complemented Wren's existing network of North West locations including Liverpool, Preston and St Helens, making it easier for homeowners across the Region to access expert design advice and explore Wren's latest collections.
