Southport Mosque issues notice of the passing of a Founder Member

THE Southport Mosque and Islamic Cultural Xentre, that is located on:- Sussex Road, in Southport, Merseyside, has made an announcement following the death of Dr Ismat, who helped to establish the Masjid in Southport.

The Southport Mosque announcement reads as follows:- "إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون, Dr. Ismat sadly passed away in London last week, we ask Allah in his mercy to look after him and reward him handsomely for all his efforts to have a Masjid in our town. Previously, Muslims had to travel to Liverpool or Preston in order to perform their Salat. He was one of the main forces behind establishing our Masjid in Southport. He spent time, money and physical effort to achieve this. May Allah bless his soul and Grant him the highest place in paradise and comfort him in Jannah. May the other brothers and sisters in Southport and beyond walk in his footsteps and support the Masjid to prosper and remain as a beacon of light for the community and for future generations. Please make Duaa for him and all his family. وجزاكم الله خير.  Ibrahim Hussein."
