AS we experience the madness
that COVID-19 is having on the world, we do not want businesses to
fail. We are a fully press regulated publicised, based in Southport
and like so many others we are a small independent business. Just as
many others businesses in and around the Liverpool City Region, we
are also on the blink of disaster, but if we all help each other, we
can try to work around the problems we face as businesses and as a
community. Lets help each other! For a start, we are looking
for any businesses who want to provide services, like delivery or
online that are run by businesses within the local area or have
contact with the local area.
So
If you have a business that wants to stay operational as
best they can over this unique business period and provide a service
to your community, please get in contact. If you want to be
listed, please contact us with a full description of the services
you offer and any fees for delivery and terms of trade. Also list
any restrictions (area, times, special requirements etc). We
will also require your business address and full contact

offering a delivery service in an attempt to encourage our customers
to STAY AT HOME. Please take care of yourselves and loved ones
during this difficult time. Whilst we will be open as usual, we
believe that this measure will help contribute to slowing down the
spread of the virus and help those who are most vulnerable in
addition to those who are unable to visit the shop. This service

prior to delivery or via cash payment at the point of delivery.

"I'm a children's author and professional storyteller, and when I heard
that schools were about to close, I wanted to do what I could to
help keep kids engaged and happy. I had 4 children, all close
together, so I know how tough it can be under the best of
conditions. The closure of schools sounds (and is) drastic, but it's
also a great opportunity to get children into books and
storytelling. Psychologists have discovered that children who engage
with stories are better equipped to come to terms with their own
problems; and understand how other people are feeling. Stories and
novels are a sort of 'dry run' for life's ups and downs and help
children (and adults) to cope. It's also a delicious chance for
children to have a cuddle and discuss the stories with their
favourite grown up; and maybe even think about writing, telling or
illustrating their own tales. So, for the foreseeable future, I'll
be doing a live storytelling every weekday 9.30am to 10am on Facebook.
