Are we ready for a road map to end Lockdown?

WE have been told that Downing Street thinks the 4 tests that must be met before the 1st step of lockdown easing, within England, are currently being met and i things stay on track the proceed lockdown easing might start on 8 March 2021, or sooner! The 4 conditions that must be met at each phase are:-

 The Coronavirus vaccine programme continues to go to plan.

 Evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently reducing the number of people dying with the virus or needing hospital treatment.

 Infection rates do not risk a surge in Hospital admissions.

 New variants of the virus do not fundamentally change the risk of lifting restrictions.

But will will Boris Johnson try to skip the steps and open up faster? We are told that he will share his finalised:- "road map" with Ministers, on Monday, 22 February 2021, before unveiling it to MPs and later to the rest of the UK, in a TV news conference, at 7pm GMT, on the same say day.

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has stressed that he will be using data will be used to inform:- "every step" of lifting restrictions, and not going by economic pressure.

But, people are reminding Boris Johnson, that any progress made, must have some wriggle room. Also, all those who have been excluded from help over the Pandemic must also be helped, as well as many small businesses who now face a up hill struggle to get paperwork in place following Brexit. Other are also warning that the Furlough scheme should be extended for those who are at risk as well as for small businesses who are struggling who have been overlooked throughout the crisis.


Total UK cases Covid19 cases in and around Liverpool City Region

THE total number of UK Coronavirus (Covid19) infections that have been laboratory confirmed, within the UK, has risen by:- 9,834 cases and the total number now stand at:- 4,115,509 that includes tests carried out by commercial partners which are not included in the 4 National totals.

The total number of Covid19 associated UK fatalities added to the total, was sadly reported to be:-
215 within 28 days of positive test, according to the Department of Health. The total number of deaths of people who have had a positive test result confirmed by a Public Health or NHS laboratory is:- 120,580, within 28 days of positive test. Deaths with Covid19 on the death certificate:- 129,498.

The number of Covid19 patients currently in UK Hospitals:-
18,462. The current number of Covid19 patients currently in mechanical ventilation beds in UK Hospitals:- 2,469 Daily number of Covid19 patients admitted to UK Hospitals:- 1,397.

In England, there are a total of:- 3,605,373 confirmed cases. North West - total of:- 566,652 confirmed cases.

The vaccination programme began on 8 December 2020 with people receiving the vaccine developed by Pfizer / BioNTech, and people began receiving the Oxford University / AstraZeneca vaccine from 4 January 2021. Both vaccines are given as 2 doses, at least 21 days apart, for a full vaccination course.
 

Daily reported Covid19 deaths are now measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the 1st laboratory confirmed positive Covid19 test.   Daily and cumulative numbers of Covid19 patients admitted to Hospital. Data are not updated every day by all 4 nations and the figures are not comparable as Wales include suspected Covid19 patients while the other nations include only confirmed cases.

 

The latest R number is estimated at:- 0.6 to 0.9 with a daily infection growth rate range of:- -6% to -3%, as of 19 February 2021.
