Chance to Recognise ace care workers

PEOPLE across Liverpool are being encouraged to nominate their Childcare Worker of the Year.

The third annual Liverpool Early Years and Childcare Worker of the Year awards ceremony takes place at the Town Hall on July 2 and nominations are already rolling in.

There are five awards in five categories recognising excellence, and aim to raise the profile of care workers and attract more people to the sector.
Stuart Smith, Liverpool City Council's assistant executive director for education, will present one of the awards. He said:- "These are the best type of award because children and their parents get to thank the people who make their lives easier and happier.

They recognise the commitment of local people to the care and needs of youngsters across the city, usually the unsung heroes and heroines of public service delivery.”
