Formby Funday
Photos by Patrick Trollope

SATURDAY exhibited a repeat of the week before's Formby Festival as the weather took its tole. Rain lashed down for most of the day, only relenting late on in the early evening. Not deterred by that, in what is now becoming Formby tradition, the show still proceeded... Sunday had a welcome break as the sun emerged from its hibernation and the massive crowds returned to the show. The show was, as usual raising badly needed cash for the Southport, Formby and Ormskirk Children's Diabetic Club. Sunday saw the return of the morris dancers who performed in baking sun shine. The event finished with the annual yard of ale contest. Well done to all who braved Saturday and also put on a magnificent show on Sunday.
