THE QUEEN OPENED BANK HOLIDAY IN LIVERPOOL
Photographs by Patrick Trollope.

YES, it was the Mathew Street Festival yet again. This year the event has been troubled by bad weather and the odd bit of bad planning, but this did not stop the revellers who flocked to the city to party. Bands and fans flooded into the town on what was a bigger site than Glastonbury's legendary music festival, just to take part in what is now a highly respected and valued event in the international music scene calendar. We will let the pictures tell you the rest of the story and we have a sample video of Liverpool Reporter's film about the event. Music over the top of the first part is with thanks to Ormskirk's 'Beat Beatles'.
