Southport Beer Drinkers Weekend Heaven.
Photographs By Patrick Trollope

YEP and every body thinks our editor is a T Total chap?

GOING along to this year's CAMRA Hearty Drinks Festival at the Sandgrounder Beer location, at the Southport Arts Centre is something of an annual event for local residents that has gained stature and notoriety with each passing.

This year it was held over 23 to 25 September and was run as normal by the Southport and District CAMRA group.

This is the 5th Sandgrounder Bear Festival and it had 70 Real Ales available from all over the North West.

CAMRA member David Williams said:- "This has been a fantastic weekend. We had lots of interesting bears to taste and we are now one of the best festivals in the North West."

Also at the event local pubs from all over Sefton got awarded certificates for their service and quality of Ales and Beers. Also on hand to stop the guests from starving were staff from our local Watros stall. Our editor would like to thank them for their gift of an Organic Bear. Thanks! It went down just a treat.

Log On Today! Hear the local bands, pop, rock, classical, jazz and more... also going out soon will be phone ins and other talk events that will keep you entertained.
