1. Can’t Sing Singers BBC1 Saturday 5.40pm NEW SERIES.  Fame Academy’s David and Carrie Grant are on hand to judge  whether a host of vocally challenged wannabes can be turned into talented singers. Lorraine Kelly oversees proceedings.

2. The Hussein Family History Saturday 9pm. This chilling documentary takes a look at the bloodthirsty background of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and his dysfunctional brood.  

3. The Simpsons Sky One Sunday 6.30pm NEW SERIES.  The yellow perils are back with a brand new run which kicks off with Marge and Homer having a baking contest and Bart hosting a 70s-style Playboy party. James Caan guest stars.  

4. The Master: Swordsmith History Sunday 8pm History’s greatest craftsmen come under the spotlight in this  intriguing series which starts with a look at Japan’s relationship with samurai swords which began back in the 13th century.   

5. I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! ITV1 Sunday, Monday,  Wednesday, Friday 9pm Tuesday 9.45pm Thursday 8pm NEW SERIES.    I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!: Now Sunday-Friday   10.30pm NEW SERIES.   We seen romance blossom for Peter Andre and Jordan, and Jennie Bond buried alive with a family of rats, but what have Ant and Dec got in store for the next batch of jungle-bound stars? ITV2 presents live streaming and extra coverage from Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Mark Durden-Smith.

6. The 4400 Sky One Sunday 9pm NEW SERIES.  This compelling new US drama follows a team of government investigators looking into the case of 4400 alien abductees who have been mysteriously returned to earth.

7. Celebrity Snappers Living TV Monday-Friday 7pm NEW SERIES.    Hobnobbing with the stars on a daily basis must surely be a dream  job. Some of the country’s top celebrity photographers reveal the  highs and lows of the business, and how to get the perfect shot.

8. Top Buzzer MTV Wednesday 10.30pm NEW SERIES.   James Lance (Teachers) and Stephen Graham (Snatch) star in TV’s  first ‘dope opera’ about the antics of two small-time cannabis dealers and their colourful customers.  

9. Mine All Mine ITV1 Thursday 9pm NEW SERIES. This black comedy sees Griff Rhys Jones play an eccentric family man who discovers that his clan are the rightful owners of the whole of Swansea. Ruth Madoc co-stars.

10. America or Busted MTV Thursday 10.30pm NEW SERIES.  Can pop trio Busted crack the elusive US market? This fly-on-the-wall series lets us takes a peek at Matt, James and Charlie on tour stateside.
