Junior FAME Finals
Photographs by Patrick Trollope

SATURDAY 11 December hailed the end of the 2004 Junior Fame, Search For A Star competition. Run by Pleasureland, this year's show had over 100 contestants entering. Contestants were all school aged and came from all over the UK. The standard was so high that many of them could very easily be the next 'big things' in the music world, so getting into the finals was a huge achievement in itself. Even though it was only a low-key event, the standard of Saturday's final was amazing. Many of the performers, despite their age, would give the real Search For A Star contestants a run for their money. All the obviously thought long and hard about presentation and appearance and this resulting in some fabulous stage presence. The standard was good that Judges took half an hour to pick the winner. The winner was the last person to perform, Grace McCarrick, from Manchester. She did a stunning performance of 'All That Jazz'.

Other contestants were:- Stacy Murphy singing There You'll Be, Jack Mc Lean singing Let Me Entertain You, Jordan Paige Brummell singing Natural Woman, Kim Howlett singing Out Here on my own, Ellen McKay sining Ive Got You Under My Skin. Kay Williams, Melanie Waite singing My Guy, Naomi McLernon singing Colours of the wind, Shaun Fields singing Don't let the sun go down on me, Nick Donnelly singing Mr Cellophane, Beth Stubbs singing Over the Rainbow, Kelsey Beth Crossley singing Memory, Craig Wells singing Your Game, January Woodhead singing Don't Cry Out Lord, Carmela Finnigan singing I turn to you, Cheriee Taylor singing Power of Love, Jennifer Boardman singing That Old Devil Called Love, Danielle Williams singing On my own, Ashley Rebanks singing 2 out of 3 ain't bad, Anthony Millward singing I'll be there, Rebecca King singing Wherever, Whenever, Alexandra Melvin-Birchall singing Get Here, Jenny Barker singing That Old Devil Called Love, Lucy Whigham singing Imagine and Robbie Carter singing Livin' La Vie Da Loca.
