Tsunami appeal, Liverpool Legends team v Celebrity team

ANFIELD staged a charity match on Easter Sunday in front of a crowd of 39,000.There was a galaxy of stars on parade including a Liverpool side boasting the likes of Kenny Dalglish,Ian Rush,John Aldridge and Robbie Fowler to name but a few. 

The celebrity side included Shane Ritchie of East Enders, ex Westlife star Brian Mc Fadden,Ralf Little of the Royle Family and Amir Khan Olympic boxer. 
The event raised an incredible half a million pounds towards the appeal which included Children in Need and Merlin charities.

Liz McClarnon of Atomic Kitten opened proceedings and Katherine Jenkins the opera singer gave a rousing version of Youll never walk alone.
