THIS year's Southport Charity Carnival was again organised by the Champion. Martin Hoveden, Editor of the Champion said:- "We had a wonderful atmosphere all day and everyone enjoyed themselves. I would like to thank all who took part in the carnival and everyone who came." Sefton Mayor, Cllr. John Walker said:- "It was absolutely fantastic." The show stretched right down Lord Street as it rolled through the town, ending in Victoria Park.
