Police
witness appeal
There was
a car crash this Tuesday 20th of March, the accident
happened just before 7am and involved a Volvo and BMW on the
Coastal Road near Pontins. the emergency services had
to cut one man free of his vehicle and he was rushed to
hospital only to die on arrival, Police are asking for any
witnesses to come forward and help them with this serious
road incident.

There was another road traffic accident which caused
a lot of chaos, near Cross House Inn, in Formby it involved
three vehicles one silver Volvo and two dark coloured cars
there were no serious injuries involved and police don't
require any witnesses to the accident.

JAZZ AT MULLIGANS

Mr. John Pye,
S.M.J.C. has arranged monthly jazz evenings at this town
center bar (on Lord Street, directly opposite the Bold Hotel).
S.M.J.C. has booked a top class rhythm section and invites other soloists to
"sit in" - one objective is to foster and encourage younger and local jazz musicians.
The gigs are on Tuesdays from 8.30p.m. to 11.00p.m. The first one on February 12th, was a great night and featured vocalist Jennifer Johnston and young alto player Mike Smith with the Norman Bolton trio.
