Get Naked! The Boys Are Back In Town

The Lowry, Wed 7 Nov. to Sat 10 Nov. 2007

FOR the 1st time in the UK Naked Boys will be sending pulses racing and setting The Lowry stage alight with the brand new musical sensation Get Naked! The Boys Are Back in Town. The show promises to be a hit with men and women alike, featuring original music and classic hits at The Lowry from Wed 7 November 2007 to Sat 10 November 2007.

Literally comprising a clothes free chorus line, this all new two hour show swings along from start to finish with music, comedy and (in)decent exposure. Eight naked men take the audience on a journey of exploration of the male body, men’s sense of pride and shame and the way society in general views the masculine physical form.

Co-Producer Raymond Aerts adds:- “This is not a Chippendale’s show. Get Naked! is very much about the ordinary, average Joe, his relationship with his body and how that is perceived in wider culture. It’s very much a humorous show, with moments of drama and love, and we fully expect the show to touch a chord with male audience members… hopefully female audiences will leave with a clearer understanding of man’s relationship with his body too”.

Producer Mark Vijn comments:- “Generally we hear and read much about the female body. There is much written in popular media about women’s bodies and what it is like to be a woman and indeed there are many theatre shows featuring naked female bodies. What we wanted to do is bring a show to life that centres on the male body and what it is like to be a man”.
