THE
PHOENIX OPENS IN SOUTHPORT
THE Phoenix
pub on Coronation Walk, Southport, opened on 27 February 08
following a £100,000 refurbishment and redevelopment of the former
Pavilion pub.
New manager of the Phoenix, Louise Adlam, welcomed customers to the
bar from 12noon and said:- “Lots of customers have commented
that the pub looks great. From when we opened at midday, we had a
steady stream of customers, serving lots of food and with more of a
party atmosphere in the evening. It is much lighter and fresh and
I’m confident customers will enjoy the difference.”
The refurbishment includes new plasma screens, new flooring and
furniture, improved lighting effects and some great new promotions.
The Phoenix is operated by the UK’s fastest growing managed pub

offering a warm welcome, a premium selection of drinks, an extensive
wine list and hearty food, all combined with exceptional service.
For daytime and early evening occasions, the pub will operate an
improved food offer, hot beverages, breakfast from 9am and selected
drinks promotions. Interiors include softer lighting, cosy carpeting
and wallpaper and wine displays in a contemporary finish that makes
it perfect for the transition from day to night time visits.
