Jubilation
as Crowds Are illuminated.
On
Monday night thousands watched the biggest display
of Fireworks on Merseyside since the Garden Festival in
1987. On the River Mersey estuary a tug boat
pulling a barge moored up in the center of the channel
to set off a barrage of fireworks that illuminated
jubilated onlookers from New Brighten to Formby Point.
The 22 Thousand pounds worth of fireworks illuminated
the skyline and the sound shook the ground. The
next day the radio as full of comments about how good
they were.
