High Spirits!

With flags flying on houses and hotels and portraits of the queen in shops the weekend was off to a grand start!

On Saturday we were out and about interviewing people in the sun.  Despite the thunder and heavy rain on Saturday only the Lord Street event was affected.   In Formby the Royal British Legion marched through the village.  The drizzle turned into sun on Sunday and Monday was sunny and air was crisp and fresh.  Monday sore Fireworks lighting up the skies over Sefton in Southport and on the Mersey in Bootle.  We were at the Bootle display as it was the biggest, but click here to see Southport's fireworks on our partners site on Southport.gb.com's News!  On Thursday it was also hot and sunny with lost of street parties still going on through out Sefton!

Photographs bellow of Lord Street Celebrations taken on Saturday by Phill Rodwell and Tim Johnson.

The over all experience through out Sefton was one of enjoyment and praise for the queen and the country!

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
