Funfest 2009
THIS Years
charity Funfest was a fantastic success, thanks to the Visitor and
Dune 107.9 who both put in lots of work, together with countless
volunteers. This year the event was again blessed by sun and light
winds ob both days, Saturday, 13 June 2009 and Sunday, 14 June 2009.
The event had lots of attractions, from a craft tent through to a
large stage, an arena, even a working steam traction engine, that
rolled through Southport both on its way to and from the event under
its own steam. We can not wait to the next one, next year and even
though it is a rival paper, we suggest you keep an eye out for
Friday's Visitor for their report. Well done and lets hope 2010 gets
blest yet again with sun and blue sky!
