Is Southport home to the UK’s most inspirational coastal spot?

CHILEAN winery Isla Negra is calling upon those living in and around Southport to share their photographs of Lancashire’s stunning coastline with the rest of Britain.

Why not join Isla Negra in Southport between 19 August to 21 August 2011? Visit the sampling Airstream caravan on the seafront and you’ll be amongst the first in the UK to enter your photograph into its national competition to find the most inspiring stretch of the British coast. Whether you’re a professional photographer or just enjoy getting snap happy at the weekend, your photograph will help build an amazing interactive map of the UK and Irish coast which will allow you to travel along the coastline revisiting the beaches of your childhood and finding new beauty spots.

Visitors to Southport seafront will also be able to sample Isla Negra’s range of wines and, by uploading their photos of the British coastline, will be in with a chance to win prizes. Next time you’re inspired by Lancashire’s coast, point, click and upload your photo to our interactive map for the chance to win prizes including cash and a digital SLR camera. The overall winning image will feature on the label of thousands of limited edition bottles of Isla Negra wine on sale up and down the country!

Isla Negra is named after and inspired by the beautiful seaside town of Isla Negra in Chile’s Valparaiso region, home of romantic poet Pablo Neruda.

For more information join Isla Negra and other visitors at Southport Seafront on 19 August to 21 August 2011.  You can also follow Isla Negra on twitter to win prizes throughout the summer at:- twitter.com/inspiredbycoast.
