Cash For Kids Fashion Show ~ 2012
Photographs with thanks to Joanne Driver

INDEPENDENCE day might be a US thing, but the spirit of the 4 July 2012 was being expressed on the catwalk in Liverpool City Centre, UK! Despite the horrific rain, hidden at the back of Liverpool Town Hall, the event that was in aid of Radio City's Cash for Kids, was a fantastic success. The Radio City's Cash for Kids are this year working with Whizz-Kidz, who provide disabled children with essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods. So all who attended and took part in the event, not only had lots of fun; but also helped an extremely good course along the way! Interestingly this fashion show with a difference had some of the Whizz-Kidz children as special guests on the catwalk! Radio City Presenters Jay Hynd and Claire Simonsen from the Breakfast Show hosted and special guests included Danielle Lloyd, Marcus Collins and new local band The Valentine Brothers. Majestic Models and Casting Ltd provided professional models for the event to work alongside the children on the catwalk. A great selection of fashion wear including collections from: Matalan, New Look, M&S, Lipsy, Next, Danielle Lloyd Collection, Angela's Children's wear. There will be further catwalk shows including fabulous creations from Designer Mark Melia, The Dressing Room, Internet sensation Scouse World and Liverpool Community College where shown. The evening was crammed full of razzmatazz with marching bands, majorettes, cheer leaders and even an American Football Team on top of all that!  If you want to donate to Cash For Kids use this link to find out how.
