Film Review:- "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES"

THIS is a warning! This review may contain spoilers... You have been warned... As is the 'final' part of Christopher Nolan's 'Dark Knight Trilogy', it had to be dark and yes it is, but is it all over for the Batman? As the film has been doing so well, we think not... Let us know what you think by emailing us to:- news24@southportreporter.com and see if you think what many after you see the final shots of the film. This film has nearly none stop special effects, from the opening of the movie , with a CIA plain, with agents escorting a nuclear scientist inside, being pulled apart, to the fantastic batman gadgets and car chases. Oddly this film is shot for IMAX and 3d, so if you go, pick an IMAX or a Vue Xtreme cinema, like Vue's Bolton Screen or the Printworks IMAX in Manchester. It is worth it. also it is far better in 3d than in normal. For males, it is good fun, a bit long at times and plodding in places, but in all it is good fun and worth going, but females seem to prefer Spiderman as it has more romantic interaction and less action. Again if you think that or if you disagree please do let us know... Anyway for a quick summary and we are trying not to put any really big spoilers in, honest... this is the basic plot... Bruce Wayne is not the man he was and 8 years on he has to return to fight a new foe who emerges and threatens to destroy Gotham. But just how new is the new foe? If you have seen the other films you will know what the "Dent Act" is and the background to it helps this foe to proceed with the master plan. In the process this foe double crosses Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), a burglar and takes down Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) in the process. This attack on Bruce lets the foe gain nuclear weapon... But you will have to find out who the child was, that was born of a Mercenary and what the connections are to this. And you will join the awestruck citizens of Gotham watch as you watch the aftermath unfold! We gave it 4.5 stars out of 5 stars as it is a bit to long for some.
