Tall Ships Revisit

IT was lovely to see the masts of the tall ships resuming their rightful place in Liverpool's Canning Dock last weekend, 1/2 September 2012. They began arriving on Friday, 21 August 2012 and set sail again on Sunday, after they had taken part in the Irish Sea Regatta and Challenge. There were, of course, far fewer than those of the previous years, but welcome non-the-less, coming from Britain and further a-field Poland. When we visited, the Kathleen and May, only Liverpool's regular counter-part was totally open for inspection. Some smaller vessels were displaying open notices, but unfortunately, the quayside was closed off which was a bit disappointing.
