Film review:- Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets

A good Festive Film!   This was far better than the first film and is a lot more entertaining viewers of all ages.  This is a good British film that will last, telling the tale of young Harry Potter as he ignores warnings not to return to Hogwarts and is propelled into yet another adventure.  He  returns to school in a most unorthodox way , via a magical flying car.  A series of mysterious attacks  beset fellow students and strange voices haunt him.  What could it all mean?  Harry then sets about investigating Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the chilling story leads on to the "Chamber of Secrets".  Can Harry save the day?   Only by watching this film can you find out. For those who may feel somewhat concerned about the occult aspects, a recent endorsement came from an maybe  unexpected quarter ,when the Liverpool Diocesan  Board  of Education, gave it the thumbs up in their magazine, "Cross Currents", where the film is described as "....education at its best." This is worth six, but as our scores only go up to five,- a well deserved 5 out of five!.

Cast credits. First credits only:-

  • Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.

  • Running Time:- 178 minutes

  • Directed by:- Chris Columbus
