Lord Street's decretive lights are eliminated again in time for Easter

OVER the last few weeks Southport's decorative lighting, or 'Christmas Lights' down the historic main road, Lord Street have been having major work being done to them. Sadly, after being installed a few years back, vandalism and wear and tear, along with storm damage has caused much of the lighting system to fail. Replacing the damaged sections and getting them working again has been a massive task for a local Southport firm, IllumiDex UK Ltd. Both Jan and Steve Clayton, have been working hard, along with their team, to get them fully operational, in time for the Easter Weekend. Sadly, a few trees can not be sorted out, due to the amount of damage to the lighting systems or due to the trees needing tree pruning and tree surgery... But we can confirm that on Thursday, 26 April, all the lights that could be activated had been. We think that this really does make Southport's major High Street look stunning.
