CHAIRMAN of the Formby Horticultural Society, Norman Crab and show secretary Jill Spencer put on one of the best ever shows since it moved to the Guild Hall. This year they committee was very lucky, not knowing if the renovations would be finished in time to allow them to put on the show, but with a few hours to spare, the hall was ready and the show was put on. Outside were plenty of activities including a martial arts display. Inside were refreshments and, in the newly decorated hall, flowers of every type and vegetables! not forgetting the home made wine.
