ENDINGS ARE said often to be a tale of happiness, but as the summer pops festival waned towards the end of its cycle for the year, Atomic Kitten played to their full house like a cats seemingly less smug and without their cream last week.
Despite a small metropolis of lights and the bustle of noise that greeted them, a performance of an easy tempo with a concerted lack of effort at their 'purported' home town of Liverpool. The kittens failed to stir anything but a tirade of greetings and self-gratification to a rather apoplexed crowd.
After a seemingly endless UK tour that has seen a shattering schedule. It was pleasing to find that the Kittens were more than happy to have arrived home amid the final shows of the summer tent.
Amazingly what promised to be the concert of the month turned quickly into the Scouse Charlies angels 3 crooning and serving up a boring colloquy of self serving bile in an attempt to stir the masses despite the rather lacklustre efforts from the songs 'Do it', Love Won't Wait and Flame failed to seduce on the night.
Perhaps the road has done much to jade these three adopted Liverpudlian's normally in such fine song and character, but the excuse for slacking among friends takes the cream from the cake, giving an outcome of a shammy of stardom that deigns only a pretension to even the slightest short lived fame.
