FAMILY DAY OUT AT WOODVALE RALLY
Report and Photographs by Patrick Trollope.

THE Rally continues to grow in leaps and bounds and this year was no exception, raising cash for charities.  The sun brought out large crowds on both days helping to make this years rally one of the most successful yet.   Organised by local model aviation groups, this years RAF Woodvale Rally focused on families visiting the airfield and had far more entertainment than other years for kids. High flying model aircraft and kites in the blue skies soared above a stunt duo performing tricks on the runway below. Also at the show were members of the biker Red Rose Triumph club Gary and Joan Rothwell amid US Highway Patrol cars, fire engines from the local fire brigade museum, Steam engines, fun fair, huge bouncy castles and tanks.

The RAF Woodvale Rally 2003 was deemed a great success by organisers who can look forward to next years event held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August 2004.
