Hot Pot for Rwanda!

On Saturday St. Luke's Church Hall, in Formby, held a very successful "Rwandan Evening" with an excellent Hot Pot Supper and wine.

The function was well attended and raised about £300.00 for Shyira's Hospital re-building programme and Schools.

Specially invited guests included MP Claire Curtis Thomas, Jim Hasnip of the Mid African Ministry,  Ralph and Jane Hanger of the African Pastors' Fellowship and The Rev. Robyn Mellsop, vicar at St Luke's on exchange from New Zealand.

Visual images were shown, and some with insights were given into various aspects of life in Rwanda, by members of the St Luke's Group who have recently spent a fortnight over there gathering information and forging further links with Shyira Parish.
