- Congratulations
to all of you who have got your A level and AS results!
-
- The results were another set of outstanding
achievements for KGV students:- eleven subjects achieved 100% pass rates and 11 students achieved four or
more grade A results.
The overall pass rate was 94.7%, an improvement on last year's success:- the
national pass rate was 89.7%.
The very large majority of students who had applied for university places
achieved their goals, with a large proportion of those one or two grades
below their offers being taken into their chosen courses without needing to
apply through Clearing.

Formby hit by
traffic problems again!
Formby was again hit last
week on a main road at Eccles Crossing. The problem
lasted through the last part of the week and into the weekend,
with no warning that the road was closed on either side of the
railway crossing, until you where on top of it.
One local said "It is a bad
road at the best of times, but now this has increased traffic
problems. They should have warned motorists much further down
the road as they boom down at a rate of knots, then have to brake
hard and turn down a side road that takes them past the Railway
Pub on our side of the crossing. That road is in chaos as
it is as the pub is being re-built!"
