AS a sign of respect at the passing of our Queen, we are holding back until after the Funeral, on Monday, 19 September 2022, some of our photographic and video coverage until our next edition.

We will also hold the publication of our weekly edition until after the Queen's Funeral.

All of us at Southport and Mersey Reporter would like to send our warmest wishes to King Charles III on his accession to the throne.

We also wish to both respectfully remember the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and feel sorrow at her departure.

We also wish to send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Royal Family for your loss.  God Save The King!
