1 of Britain's favourite and well known Chefs confirmed for next year's line up

PHIL Vickery will be returning to next year’s show on:- Saturday, 16 August 2025, and cooking live in the Southport Flower Show's Cookery Theatre. The show is also proud to welcome back:- 'Lancashire Tea and Nationwide Produce' as sponsors of the theatre.

Having been part of the:- 'ITV This Morning' family for over 24 years, Phil is firmly regarded as 1 of Britain’s favourite and well known Chefs. After starting his career as a Commis Chef at The Burlington Hotel on Folkestone Seafront, Phil worked his way up the kitchen ranks. Phil has worked in Michael’s Nook hotel in Grasmere, Sous Chef at the Michelin starred Gravetye Manor in East Grinstead and Ian McAndrew’s Michelin starred restaurant, 74, in Canterbury. As Head Chef of The Castle hotel in Taunton for 9 years, Phil won an incredible string of accolades including:- a Michelin Star and 4 Rosettes in the AA Guide, British Meat Chef of the year, Dessert Chef of the year, county restaurant of the year good food guide and Times restaurant of the year. Phil 's no nonsense, no waffle, easy style of food has gained him many fans, but all with a serious underlying depth of food knowledge and expertise. As he will always remind you, he’s just a cook. He has become a firm favourite on the demonstration show circuit and regularly packs out, shows, halls and events around the country. He also hosts and comperes events in his relaxed easy going style.   Phil is best known for being the longest standing Chef on ITV This Morning for some 24 years, he presents live and pre-recorded cookery items as well as his own cookery segments from plus locations across the globe, some 150 films now. His globe -trotting has taken him to more than. Phil’s has alsp been a fixture on other shows on our  nation’s television screens, appearing on:- 'Ready Steady Cook' (150 shows) 'Proof of the Pudding,' 'Phil Vickery’s Pudding Club,' and 'Save Money - Good Diet,' plus many more. Not only that, but Phil has taken his cart to 40 countries and states, including:- Machu Pichu, the Amazon, great barrier reef, Rio de Janeiro, Uganda, Namibia, India, Alaska, Vietnam and the Orient Express from Bangkok to Singapore, plus many countries in Europe. If you are unaware, Phil is also an award winning author and  writting 17 books on many subjects from pork to game, to desserts, food for diabetics and latterly frozen and canned foods. Not forgetting Phil is also a leading authority on gluten free products and the National Food Ambassador for Coeliac UK, plus food for a diabetic diet!

Strictly Come Dancing sensation Chris McCausland announced as 1st headline name for Southport Comedy Festival 2025

IT may only be just over a week since the closing night of the Southport Comedy Festival 2024 in association with Halliwell Jones MINI however festival organisers are already delighted to announce their 1st big name for 2025! And what brilliant name to start with.

Comedian and star of TV Chris McCausland will be bringing his new show Yonks! to next year's festival on:- Sunday, 5 October 2025.

Tickets go on sale on:- Monday, 28 October 2024, at:- SouthportComedyFestival.Com.

You may be watching him on Strictly Come Dancing at the moment or seen him on flagship shows such as:- 'Would I Lie to You,' 'Have I Got News for You,' 'The Royal Variety,' 'QI, Blankety Blank,' 'The Last Leg,' 'Live at the Apollo' and tons more as well.

He's been called an:- "overnight success" even though he's been doing this for bloody yonks!

Chris McCausland is hitting the road again with another masterclass in stand up comedy that has literally been yonks in the making.

The last tour was a sell-out, so make sure you grab your tickets while you can!

The 14th Annual Southport Comedy Festival will take place from:- 3 October to 19 October 2025. The entire festival will be staged for a fifth year in a giant luxury heated and seated marquee courtesy of Elite Marquees in Victoria Park, home of the world renowned Southport Flower Show.

Thousands of comedy goers came along over the last 4 years to enjoy the festival in a marquee and the feedback has been so good that it is all happening again.
