103rd Ainsdale Show - Part 2

THE Ainsdale Horticultural Society's 103ed Ainsdale Flower Show was held on the Village Green over:- Saturday, 5 July and Sunday, 6 July 2025, along with a put show on the Friday Night.

Following the show, in a letter sent to us following the show, 1 of the organising committee, Janet Greenwood, said:- "We have a big problem and that is of helpers and folk to sit on the organising committee, the show has been left in the hands of few people to organise, prepare and actually put the show on the road. This has been the case for the last 3 years and if we are to continue we will need to fill the following positions:- Chairperson, Show Secretary who organisers the horticultural and floral exhibits, general secretary, to keep minutes and maintain contact with members. People with advertising skills would be welcome. A major problem is that help is desperately required by our Showground Manager on the:- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday leading up to the show, this is help during the day and if we are unable to find volunteers then we may have to resort to paying people to carry out the jobs. Please remember that this is a community show, put on by the community for the community and it would be a shame after 103 years that the show was unable to continue. After discussing the show we will have some refreshments, sandwiches and tea, coffee. Please do make the effort to attend at:- 7 pm, on:- Thursday 31 July 2025, at:- Sacred Heart Hall, Ainsdale.
