Stagecoach supports Chester Pride 2025 with discounted bus travel

STAGECOACH, the UK's leading bus operator, is supporting the LGBTQ+ community have given a heavily discounted travel as part of a major Regional celebration.

Chester Pride 2025 attendees got ½ price on the open top bus tours and unlimited bus travel across the City on:- Saturday, 16 August 2025, by simply showing their event wristband.

The offer ment an adult single:- 'In an Hour' City Sightseeing tickets could be obtained for just £2.50 throughout the day, when purchased it was directly from the driver. Tours.

Simon Tramalloni, Interim Operations Director at Stagecoach Merseyside, said:- "We're delighted to have been partner with Chester Pride to help make the event even more accessible and convenient for those attending. We had 13 bus stops along the route, covering attractions such as:- the Roman Walls and Amphitheatres, architecture, riverboat crossings and the City's famous racecourse as well as shopping, restaurants and pubs. More importantly, those on the bus could hop on and off as much as they liked, giving them the flexibility to really enjoy the event and everything it had to offer. With good connections to the rail station, its also offered a great reason to leave the car at home."

Southport Prepares for 'Take Off' as Air Show Announces Spectacular 2025 Line Up

A thrilling mix of iconic 2nd World War aircraft, modern military jets, and world class aerobatic teams are set to dominate the skies above Southport this summer. Organisers have confirmed the full flying programme for the Southport Air Show, which will take place over the weekend of:- Saturday, 30 August and Sunday, 31 August 2025. The event is 1 of the largest of its kind in the North West, is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors to the town's famous seafront for a weekend of high octane aerial entertainment.



While the aerial displays are the main draw, the on the ground experience has been expanded to offer a full day of activities for all ages.

On the ground, the event promises an immersive experience for ticket holders. The Military Village will be a key hub of activity, offering a unique opportunity for the public to meet serving personnel, including pilots and the elite Falcons Parachute Display Team. Visitors can get up close to a range of aircraft and participate in interactive exhibits designed to showcase life in the armed forces.



Beyond the military displays, the showground will feature a wide array of attractions:-

  • Live Entertainment - A full programme of family friendly activities will run throughout the day, complemented by detailed live commentary so you don't miss a moment of the action in the sky.
     

  • Food and Drink - A selection of award winning local street food vendors will be on site, offering a variety of culinary options.
     

  • Unrivalled Views - The ticketed area provides the best and safest viewing positions on the beach, placing attendees directly under the flight path for the most dramatic moments, including screaming low passes from the jets.

From Warbirds to Wingwalkers, this year's programme is a carefully curated blend of aviation history and cutting-edge performance. Cllr Marion Atkinson, Leader of Sefton Council, stated:- “The 2025 Flying Programme promises to be bigger, louder and unmissable! This year's line up is stacked with iconic planes of the past flying aside modern marvels, promising to be a great mix that aviation fans will love.”

Icons of the 2nd World War...

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - The unmistakable sight and sound of the Avro Lancaster bomber flying in formation with the legendary Hurricane and Spitfire fighters.

Rolls Royce Spitfire XIX - A photo reconnaissance variant of the iconic fighter, powered by the mighty Griffon engine.

Navywings Swordfish - A rare survivor, this biplane torpedo bomber, affectionately nicknamed the:- "Stringbag," played a crucial role in naval aviation history.

A-26 Invader - A powerful American twin engined light bomber and attack aircraft, making a formidable new addition to the line up.

Modern Military Power...

RAF Typhoon - The Royal Air Force's premier multi role combat aircraft will demonstrate its phenomenal speed, power, and agility in a jaw dropping display.

The Falcons - Britain's elite military parachute team will descend from the sky in a stunning display of precision and canopy control.

Sea King - The iconic search and rescue helicopter, a familiar sight for decades, will make a welcome return to the skies.

World Class Aerobatics and Classic Jets...

Aerosuperbatics Wing Walkers - The world's only aerobatic formation wing walking team, watch as performers carry out daring acrobatics strapped to the top wing of vintage biplanes.

Richard Goodwin Jet Pitts - A classic aerobatic biplane that has been outrageously modified with two jet engines, promising a truly unique and noisy performance.

Team Raven - A civilian aerobatic team flying self-build Van's RV aircraft, renowned for their dynamic and tightly choreographed formation flying.

DH Vampire and Jet Provost - 2 classic jets from the early Cold War era, showcasing the dawn of Britain's jet aircraft design.

Tickets and Information...

Organisers are urging visitors to book in advance to secure the best price and guarantee entry. While the aircraft can be seen from a distance, only ticket holders will have access to the showground, commentary, and the prime, front row viewing areas on the beach.

Cllr Atkinson added a final piece of advice:- "Tickets are selling fast so you don't be the 1 that missed out! Book now to guarantee your spot."
